Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, from whose name the term
"masochism" was derived?
In 2008 in Lviv was opened a cafe, devoted to Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, which is called "Masoch-cafe. At the entrance to the cafe there is a 170-centimetric monument to the writer, and interior of the cafe recreates an atmosphere of Sacher-Masoch's works: on the walls hang handcuffs, whips and chains.
